A tube-driven OD pedal might help.

There's some modeling on that amp right? Try setting it to the Super Sonic model and crank up the gain. If it's not cutting through, try boosting the mids a little.

I have had success getting nice harmonics by using down strokes with my bare finger. The closer my picking finger is to the first harmonic the better it works.

Also can get some cool variations on a single note by moving my picking finger up or down the string around the first harmonic.

It requires a little bit of fingernail but not long like is needed for finger style playing and it also doesn't require pristine filing like the finger style players need.
