Bought a blonde us blues deluxe yesterday. Dated the amp by the QA tag stamp, which is FA. (January 1995). My amp only says Fender on the front badge. rather than the typical "Special Limited Run". And its Blonde. On this site it says the only Blonde ones were the limited run from may-july or something like that. Anyone have any info on this.. i cannot find anything about why this amp is blonde and has the FENDER badge on the front.

i can take pictures if needed!

Thanks guys!

I like the Blonde covering.

This amp is the same as any other MIA BDlx, with the exception of the covering and the speaker. I don't recall any of these amps stamped "Special Limited Run" anywhere on them, it's not a Custom Shop amp or anything. Not much else to know about it, other than they are great amps, and sound great with the right speaker and tubes. How do you like it?

Whoops. poor use of quotes. I meant the typical special edition 1995 blues deluxe usually has "Fender Blues Deluxe on the front plate. I guess in looking up the (recent) history of these, i have yet to find one made before May 1995 that is blonde, as the dating page on this site says the Blondes were only during that short period of production. Must have one that slipped through before!

LOVING the amp so far.. I have always been a Dr Z guy. But NEEDED what I'm getting from this amp!

You know anything about the Fromel supreme mod for this? Several people have said its a MUST. especially for these "first round" BD's.

I appreciate your help!

Can't help you on the history, but mine is from August 1995 and have the "Fender Blues Deluxe" on the frontplate.

I replaced the 2 infamous resistors and the large capacitors in mine, but sourced the parts from suppliers in EU.
Made a thread about it:

I have one of the limited edition Blues Deluxe amps. There is a date code on some small tag somewhere in the cab, but can't remember where at the moment. They have blonde Tolex and the front plate says "Fender Blues Deluxe" rather than just "Fender" on all others. They were only made during a three month period in '95. As far as the tonal or electronic differences, I don't know whether there are any differences at all, as I have never compared mine to any other, but I do love the tones. I also have a creme board Blues Junior and a BF'd (AB673) hardwired SF Deluxe Reverb, and the BD compares nicely to both tonally.
