I haven't seen anything about new Pawn Shop Amps in a long while. Has Fender dropped the idea of doing this or are we in for more affordable jewels coming in 2015?

I understood they were dropping them :-(

I think the Vaporizer was a concept too far as they still seem to be about at music shops, often at a significant discount.

The Ramparte was a true work of art. I wish I'd bought one.

I hope you are wrong, but that is the way it goes sometimes.

Pawn Shop guitar line is gone too.

I would like to know what the bad beef was on the Vaporizer. A Craigslister locally can't seem to get $200 for his with tags still on it and footswitch not even out of bubble wrap! But demos on YouTube sound sweet!

Just my opinion, but part of The Vaporizer's problem was no where on the amp was the Fender logo. I often wonder if this is a Fender design, or just something bought by the pallet off of a dock from the far east.

Anyone take one apart and lock on the pcb? Maybe it has Fender ID on it.

The same could be said of the Ramparte and others. Those in the know will always apreciate it's heritage.

The Excelsior and Greta are like hens teeth to find and were great amps in their own right, even though they were a little flaky. The Ramparte was positively main stream by comparison.

The Excelsior and Ramparte would both look great in most living rooms. The Vaporizer needs a very special type of decor not to look out of place. I don't think many could put up with its looks. It is also that strange output which is too much for home but potentially too small to gig. And again you would need to be a very special sort of person to stand in front of one in public.

I almost bought a Vaporizer as they represent great value for money and are a great sounding amp - but I would have to have built a new cabinet for it, and this just daft.
