Probably.

But the Weber is merely a hand job.

A real Jensen OTOH is pure pu$$y.

Ok Arjay, now I get what you mean! the change is incredible, now I really get why people love the old Deluxe, touch sensitive, notes are like 3-D . I played the amp right before I made the switch and thought this amp sounds really nice, then after, it was as if the notes bloom, much, much fuller, clearer, all around so much more than I expected.I thought adding all NOS RCA tubes made a big difference, but together with this speaker it really made it come together, with just a bit of reverb this really sings! thanks again, I have to say your advice was gold on these old Jensens.

Incredibly enough, there are a few folks here on this forum who actually think I know WTF I'm talking about......

I'm glad that amp of yours is now meeting your expectations. I suspected it might once it had all the "right stuff".

Rawk On!

Your advice is well appreciated here, and rightly so. I really liked this amp for the past few years, now I love it, it's got tone I couldn't imagine, and you were also right, I should have bought them both and put one away, can't imagine ones this clean will come along often.

I buy a lot of stuff like that on spec, anticipating that the "right" project will come along and I'll eventually need it. Though my stockpile has dwindled of late, I still have plenty of goodies on hand.
