I have a Weber California Ceramic 15 with a DRRI head plugged into it. Great for humbuckers and single coils, and it fixes everything I didn't like about the DRRI combo.

I have yet to try a weber I didn't love
I did try a 12F150 in the Ramparte (long gone) and it didn't work, the ramparte needs a VERY dark speaker to mask the super bright circuit.
Would love a pair of 12A150 (alnico) for my new bassman rig

Just picked this older weber up cheap on reverb.com
its a bit of a puzzle though
Says 12F150 the "F" meaning Ferrite (ceramic) and yet it has an alnico magnet ???
Old style Jensen connections makes me wonder if its a recone ? of a real jensen maybe ???

I thought that Ferrite was "ceramic like" but still has Iron and other metals. :?:

Pardon me, I'm no expert, and I sure don't want to offend anyone here.
But although my Weber 12A150 lacks the magnet bell cover I think it is smaller diameter but higher.
So to me it looks like a ceramic magnet on that speaker. My bet is that the small label saying 12F150 is right and the large label on the back is not.

Please correct me if I'm wrong - I learn something new every day. If I could just remember it all :D

Yes, it is still bargain - and broken in :)
That's a great service from Weber trying to find you a period correct label.
Happy new speaker day :)
