I got an Fender Deville 212 (USA-made, not the reissue). It has 2 Gold Label 12 inch speakers (8 Ohm). The power output of the amp are 60 watts into 4 ohm.
I would like to add an extension Marshall box to the amp. I got a 1961 B cabinet which has 2 x 75 Watt Celestion GT 75 loudspeakers in it and has 8 Ohm. Also I have an 1960 B cabinet which has 4 x 75 Watt Celestion GT 75 loudspeakers in it. It can be changed to 16, 8, or 4 ohm.
The Fender manual of the Blues Deville says: An external speaker enclosure must have 4 ohm for the Deville 212.
Now my question: can I use my both Marshall cabinets (shure not together) or can I only use the 1960 B box and switch it to 4 ohm? Thanx for posting. Tom

P.S.
I will add that I want to play with the 2 original Fender speakers a n d with one of my 2 Marshall cabinets.

When you plug into the extension jack, it switches the amp into 2 ohm output.
So you can use the 4 ohm speaker and still have a good match
Or you can plug in the 8 just as well with a little higher impedance

I agree, practically any cabinet, 4, 8, or 16 ohm can be used in conjunction with the internal speakers and the impedance will still be a close enough impedance match for the amp.

A few options when using internal and external speakers simultaneously, which switches the amp to the 2 ohm OT tap:
4 ohm internal plus 4 ohm external - 2 ohms total speaker load
4 ohm internal plus 8 ohm external - 2.66 ohms total speaker load
4 ohm internal plus 16 ohm external - 3.2 ohms total speaker load

Any of these will be fine with the amp. 8)
