That means tube amps could be on the chopping block too..

That would be the BEST thing that could happen to Fender IMO. If they can't export amps across the pond they won't need to concern themselves with nebulous meddling by bureaucratic assholes and it'll be the end of latex nipples on power switches, hamster cages around power tubes, solid-state tremolo circuits, and last but not least, that GODDAMM RoHS-COMPLIANT SOLDER.

Good riddance!

+1000 !!! HURRAY !!

The EU can do as it pleases as long as their socialist, do good garbage stays there and is not exported here. I’m really sick of he “saving lives” argument, I have news for you, idiots will find ways to kill themselves no matter what you do.

I do not need or want a “Mother” government hovering over me all the time, making sure I don’t do anything to hurt myself.

They tried to use the “saving lives” argument here to keep the speed limit at 55 mph. Well, the way I see it, if 55 will save some lives, 45 will save even more, 35, even better. Of course then someone will say 35 mph that’s ridiculous! OK, who gets to decide when we hit ridiculous? Maybe I think 55 mph is ridiculous.

I do not have any problem warning people of danger, and I am not advocating allowing someone to sell an unsafe product, but I am opposed to governments forcing manufactures to “idiot proof” there products.

Oh man, I was just at the food store, and there it was staring down at me menacingly from above the dryer sheets.

Note the lengthy safety instructions.

Next thing you know, they'll be selling copies of "Puff the Magic Dragon"!
