Obviously it depends on your taste, I think most people registered here would say fender, I know I would but thats because I am so incredibly biased by the fact that fender are awesome and modern marshalls -post 80's- are all sellouts! haha.

Not much info to go on..... you dont say which Frontman or which $500 Marshall. Are they both running about the same wattage?

Anyway, I would agree with Jeffo46..... If you are looking at the MG series, I would stay with Fender. (but then I would agree with GibsyBT and stay with Fender anyway!) I had a little 30 watt MG and got rid of it three months later. The sound was just bad.... :(

I'm running a Fender Hot Rod DeVille 410 now and I absolutly love it! :D I hear the new Fender Champ models are great amps and priced nice too!

i want to trade in my Raven amp and get a Fender amp.
my raven is best used for harder rock. which i play, but still its not all that great for blues in my opinion.

I've never played a Raven, but I've heard the same thing from others.... not that its a bad thing though. Its all in the sound that you like. My HRD is great for blues (what I play mostly) but I can crank it and make it play hard too!
