I recently re-potted my guitarist's Fender Frontman 212R. It's an older amp that apparently spent more than one night out in the salty air of the Atlantic Ocean, that made for lots of scratchy pots. Anyway, the Mid Contour push button switch has a very nasty crackle/static to it. I'd like to replace it, but can't find a replacement switch. I used local amp tech extraordinaire, Darren Riley, to source all the pots, but the switches he had are too small. The ones he had are Fender 0028091049. The switches in the amp have a wider distance between the legs, and a much longer switch. They also have two extra "anchor points" that are soldered into the board.

Does anyone know where I can find a replacement switch? I can supply photos if it would help.

Many thanks in advance!

It helps, to see the switch from inside the amp too , how it look

This amp have 3 white push button like this one , Yes ?

Did you try good contact cleaner IN the switch , not outside the switch ?

Good contact cleaner , like GC or Deoxit . Low quality contact cleaner may not do the job

Have you tried E-Bay ? Also, type in the part on Google and chances are , you'll find a dealer that'll have a replacement for sale.

I searched all over the internet, and even tried contacting Fender, but no dice. So today I took the switch out, gave it a good cleaning, put in a few dollops of De-Oxit, and soldered it back in. VIOLA! No more crackle, no more popping, no more drama.

For anyone keeping score, here's a pic of the switch in question. Seems no one in the land, not even Fender, knows where to get one. Fortunately, I don't seem to need it anymore.
