Hi,why doesn't Fender make a 100 watt tube heads and cabinets to suit like they used too.

Like the bassman 100/50?head? and a 8x10 or at least a 4x12?

I would buy one for sure, because i prefer the fender sound over the others.

Fender seems to have no high powered solution??

I know some venues are small but to have no high powered amp and cabinets seems backward for such a big company.

You did ask why and got replies. They just didn't agree with your view. If there was a significant market, Fender would make them. The majority has evidently moved on!

 "When i go to a show,i want my ears to bleed!" To each his own!

Tinnitus is no joke. I've been suffering with it for close to fifteen years. Go ahead, let your ears bleed, you'll pay for it later. I did and there's no cure. Remember one thing, tons of those amazing sounding classic rock tones came from 6 watt Champs, 18 watt Marshalls, 5e3 Tweeds, Deluxe renerbs, 24 watt Supros, Danos and Silvertones. When I'm watching a band and it gets painful, I leave. I'm there for the music, not the pain.

I've seen this in person more than once. Sometimes the small amps are under the stage. This is all a throwback to when PA systems really sucked. Now, you could probably get away with a 3 watt Pignose and a monitor.

Seen this quite often in the 80's doing load ins for major bands for example Ted Nugent, go to pick up the marshal head and you feel like you ate your Wheaties then you notice there is nothing but a light in there to make it look like it is on. Three empty heads and three or four empty speaker cabinets and your stage looks loud, then the real Marshal and cabinet goes under the stage still on 11 and is mic'ed into the PA. Now don't get me started on Kiss as they played through racks of gear with only front monitors and sidefills as the only live speakers on stage

Every speaker cone you see here was a molded plastic square snapped onto the set frames

biggest gig I played was at an outdoor stadium for a labor day festival at Indian Ranch in Webster Mass.

10~k people as about the seating capacity. I used my 60watt marshall combo,, sound says "bring anything smaller?"

LOL!! "uh no , I could have brought my 30watt 1x12"

when I did my sound check, my amp was not loud at all.. but during the few minutes they were checking me in, the stage was vibrating, from the side fills and sound out front was like it was coming from the gates of he11..

the sound guy was right, 30 watts 1x12 would have more than done it.

There are alot of people,Joe Bonamassa(well that what he said) being one that DON'T like the sound of an amp being pushed and just want tons of clean head room.

The old 100/50 watt bassman head and cab used to sound and look great.

I guess i could just use a super bassman head and cab[sarc]

There is something nice about an amp that is working to hard but that is nice to.

My next big amp purchase will likely be a big watt head (50+) and a 4x12 cabinet.
Not everybody's moving smaller.
