Hi,why doesn't Fender make a 100 watt tube heads and cabinets to suit like they used too.

Like the bassman 100/50?head? and a 8x10 or at least a 4x12?

I would buy one for sure, because i prefer the fender sound over the others.

Fender seems to have no high powered solution??

I know some venues are small but to have no high powered amp and cabinets seems backward for such a big company.

You're going the wrong way. Good mic's and PA systems have caused a trend in the other direction.
And so demand dictates.

Indeed so. See the Pete Townsend interview in the online Fender magazine.

The days of 100 W full stacks is gone now it's 50W half stack and a good pa and great sound

+1

The phallic-symbol stage rig fell out of vogue decades ago.

Which is why vibro champs are demanding nearly as much as twin reverbs nowadays.

Not decades ago, maybe after 2000 when music turned into a watery fart(IMO)

And what a ridiculous comment.

There is nothing like a 100 watt amp cranked unless you play in a folk band or a little blues club or maybe a cover band.

Tons of bands still use 100 watt heads, just not bedroom bandits and that's fair enough i guess.

Using a PA's is not something i want to do ,i like amps on stages with lots of power. Not wimpy 10-20 watt amps into a PA,i did that when i was 15(now 40)

I'm talking punk(real punk not that heavy vs, girly chorus stuff),hard rock, avante noise.

When i go to a show,i want my ears to bleed! and have the music knock me over!

to each his own... are you sure you want to do that for the next 20/30+ years?

Personally, I'd rather be able to hear at 60 (which I'm two years away from)

I play in a pretty loud trio, which is 50% original based. (it's hard rock, not punk.. which am not a big fan of, -- just my personal pref. in what I choose to listen to.)

I am able to get more than enough out of a 2 amp setup with a 60watt marhsall 2x12 combo w/a 2x12 extension cab, on one side, and a Gibson GSA30RVS 2x12 combo on the side where the bass player hangs.

you asked for our opinions, and we're just giving them to you.... if you don't like what we're saying, we can't really do much about that.

oh hey and go Marhsall,, they're still making 100Watt heads and 4x12 cabs,.. you're just going to need some help moving it all around..

50w cranked will give you the same joy if that's what you want.

Perhaps more. Years ago I was playing a music club following a band with a 100W Marshall stack. Rather than swap over to my 50W Marshall the guy with the 100W said to use his.

I did the gig and didn't think the rig was especially loud compared to my MV50. After, people in the front were saying the amp was deafening and they couldn't hear anything but guitar. Seemingly the sound projection was such that it wasn't really coming together until it had passed me. I can't explain it but it is what happened.

I've not played 100W stack since and have no desire to.

Also, having been involved on the other side of the mixer, loud back lines are nothing but a pain in the rear as you can't do a damn thing to balance them once the gig kicks off.

If you give some people 11 they will use it. It's not big and it's not clever.

Actually the sound of a guitar amp playing at stage volumes doesn't really fully develop until it gets to be a ways out from where it originates. so basically -- yea,, it was probably all blowing right past you and annihilating everyone with about 20feet in front of you!

this is why lots of people put clear plexiglass shields in front of their rigs.

Not tube, but if you want wattage there is the Mustang V V2: 150 watts, 4x12 cabinet.
