I was wondering which new fender amps would have the best reverb. Im not too familiar with what makes a good reverb unit, on how to tell which ones are solid state and which are tube, spring etc. I was wanting to know which new amps had the best reverb units in them so i could try them out.

There's a bunch of variations, solid state reverb, solid state driving a spring tank, tubes driving a spring tank.

I know that the Hot Rod series amps reverb is solid state, but it is spring reverb all the same (spring tank in the bottom of the amp cabinet). Your probably not gonna find 100% spring tube reverb on anything under about $1200 bucks. On second thought, I think there's maybe a smaller Fender amp, like a Blues Junior or something like that, that has tube driven reverb, but I'm not too sure about it though.

For most people solid state reverb is good enough and the majority of people really don't care that much about "pure reverb tone", unless your somebody like Dick Dale, who wants their tone to be soaking dripping wet. Then you would probably want a good reverb tank to go along with any amp you have, plus you can kick it in the $@! when you really want to drown that note, hehe.

My DeVille 410 has solid state spring reverb, it sounds very good, just like tube reverb, but it's not all that strong. Turning your presence knob up helps with reverb effect alot. I don't degrade that amp a bit because of this.

Depending on your budget, I would say go try some amps out. But I think the Hot Rod series are the best your gonna find for the price and what your looking for.
