I haven't but it is certainly a cunningly priced bit of kit - just cheap enough so that you wouldn't bother trying alternatives, perhaps.

However, I am assuming you have tried stuff from around the house/shed/yard/garage already?

A couple of paving slabs - on a rug so they don't mark the floor and to partially isolate them.

Expanded polystyrene

A rug

Squash balls and Bluetack

Tennis balls cut in half

Books

Try moving the amp 6" in either direction as you might then sit on a joist directly.

Get some new rubber feet.

Either way hollow timber floors are a pain. I put my amp on the fire hearth for that very reason.

An amp stand does most of what I want as far as isolating the amp from the hardwood floors, except that its too high up so......
My house has typical hardwood floors of a house from 1900 and then there is another layer of Tongue and groove boards below, essentially making a drum LOL !
I found a used one of the first edition of the Gramma and got it for 35 bucks shipped, a pretty low investment, I had a 5E3 tweed clone that had the most resonate pine cab ever !! couldn't play it on my floors at any volume, that one had to be on a stand to be usable at all.
Hoping this product will cure the little extra buzz my DRRI gets and I hear users saying it tightens up the bass so..... Win Win I hope !

Well for my at home application the Gramma stabilized my DRRI and removed a LOAD of extraneous noise !
I'm tell'n ya it clarified my sound to the point of giving me an entirely new and amazing tone !
Good Stuff

Good news. Always good to hear when something does what it says it does. So often these things turn out to be little more than snake oil.

Pretty sure most of the complaints in that direction are from those who have a more stable playing environment and indeed the isolator does little, my floors are 115 year old hardwood and so as you can imagine they are extremely cured and resonant.

I have pictures on the walls in the practice room, now I hear them at anything above 4 on the drri with a swamp thang in it, it moves a lot of air 8) , however it is distinctly different and far less annoying than the floor buzz boogie LOL

I'm sold , looking for one for my powered sub on my surround sound now LOL

we had one of those "step climbers" which turns out to be an almost perfect isolation platform.

I'm not sure if the actual product would be different,, but there it was.. in the corner of the basement destined for the recycle center...

"hey,,, I wonder........."

No doubt other things will do the job and the bass trap pointing at the floor might just be there to lure the guitar player and do nothing more than stacks of books would ??? who knows, I just know it works and I got mine for 35 shipped so ........

I now have my USA Hot Rod Deluxe sitting on it and after some major pre-amp tube swaps and a tweak of the bias setting (can't believe I'm saying this) sounds every bit as good as my DRRI or Bassmans or whatever.
Good stuff for sure !

Maybe the isolator is having more of a positive effect than I thought ? 8)

I use the amps road case to get my 68' Custom Deluxe off the floor.
