My Reverb has stopped working. I have replaced the tube and it appears that the reverb unit itself is working fine. Also, I have checked all connections and they look good. Also the pods on the knob seem to be fine. Any suggestions??

I am rather disappointed in this amp. While it has a great sound I have two old Peavy amps, much older, and their reverb works fine.

I only changed one tube. I just turned the knob and there did not appear to be any static and the amp would have slight buzz when the reverb knob was turned up. I am told it is likely a capacitor that is the problem but that is beyond my ability.

James5v, welcome to the Forum! :)

1.) We are talking about the '65 Deluxe Reverb reissue?

2.) How do you know the reverb unit (the device with the springs) is ok? Try it on another amp?

3.) What are "pods" on the knob?

Thanks!

Yes it is the 65 reissue.

We took the reverb springs out and they looked find. They would also make a sound when you shook the amp. The wires looked fine and the connections were good. I do not have another amp to check it. I am looking for a repair shop but there are none close by my location.

I have not electronically checked the knobs ( I am called the knobs the same as the Pods). However, all the other knobs work fine and there does not seem to be any static in any of the knobs.

Now that I think about previously I had changed another tube so I misspoke. I have replaced both tubes.

They would also make a sound when you shook the amp. This is only show reverb spring out put is working . How is the input , we do not know ?

The wires looked fine and the connections were good. Look fine at your eyes ? , You must check with a meter or try new one

Knobs are alway good unless the shaft is broken or make noise if you turn them

To me problem is ;

The reverb send circuit ( circuit before reverb pan )
Or

The reverb tank ( input transducer )

Why ? Because you hear the reverb springs if you shake the reverb pan ; Output transducer may work
And reverb recovery circuit is ok
