Sorry to drone on about what other people have said, but I was able to sell a couple of amps so I could get a '68 Custom Vibrolux Reverb. Now, I've wanted a '68 Vibrolux since 1968, and when I could get my first 'big' amp in 1969 that's what I wanted, but they didn't have one, so I ended up with a Pro Reverb (which was also very sweet). Anyways, I have to say the new '68 Custom Vibrolux is the most awesome amp I've ever had (and I've had a few)! It has to be the quietest amp I've ever heard - it's on and ready to go and truly dead silent! The reverb and tremolo add a little bit of noise but it's still really quiet! When you play it, it just sounds - the only word I can think of is 'musical' - both channels are rich and full with great splashy reverb and gorgeous tremolo. I have some nice amps ('65 DRRI, SuperSonic 112, some vintage tube Gibsons), but they just don't sound as 'alive' as this thing. Now, I have a few guitars, but I mostly play vintage keyboards - not only do my Telecasters and old Burns Vibraslim sound incredible through this, but vintage electric pianos, combo organ, and especially Clavinet are just amazing through it - the sound is so rich and (no pun intended) organic. I plugged it into my old white Kustom cab with 2 CTS 12's and it had a different but equally awesome sound. This is a great amp! IMHO Fender really got this one right!

I'm just sayin too! This is such a great amp. Walk in with 40 pound combo and it blows the doors down. Very powerful. Twin channels are great. Very versatile clean to a surprising crunch. No standby switch issues, very quiet so glad I picked this model. Vibrato is cool too. We do some CCR and it sounds great
