For all you speaker swappers out there, I finally gave the Weber Sig 12B a shot.
basically its a Jensen C12N clone but with a British style cone and dust cap.
I had a coupon with Chicago Music Exchange and got this 50 watt 8 ohm beauty for 52 bucks shipped !

Out of the box, this speaker amazed me ! Big bold bottom and sweet highs too
Put this one on your bucket list ! at the price it is so worth a try 8)

I have mine in a highly modded 1x12 (jet city) cab that is now a partial open back and have been playing my VHT Special 6 through it, I will run a cable to the drri soon and let ya know.
Put this speaker on your radar

Thanks, for the post. Never used the 12-inch Sig's. The smaller 6, 8, and 10-inch really work well in small to moderate sized Fender amps.

Opening up the back on that cab made a world of difference too !
I read many interesting stories about the 12B and again under 60 bucks so.........
Glad I gave it a spin, I did have to back the treble off just a wee bit over the Fender branded Emi that was in there, but the tone bloomed to such a degree over that gold label emi that you wouldn't think it was the same head !
I have a Swamp Thang in my drri right now, my guess is that the Weber may even beat it at home volume, the S/T however handles high volume very well.
For the VHT Special 6 head, the weber 12B is Amazing !
