I agree with the fender Amp thing !!! X1000
Give me a 65 to 58 Bassman head and a piggyback cab with some sweet jensens in it !

Man oh man do I agree with the above, the very first amp I ever bought was a black face Bassman 50 watt head. It came with a 2-12 cabinet for $300 in about 1964. A little later on I bought a Black Face Deluxe Reverb from the same guy at about $250. Those were some of my favorite amps. I also once had (and wish I still did have) a Rivera Era Fender 30 all tube channel switching 30 watt amp with a tube rectifier, I gave that to my oldest kiddo when I got my first Mesa Boogie Mark II C+ 80 watt head and single 1-12 EVM 12 speaker cab. (I still have that same EVM 12 L in another 1-12 cab). Anyways I don't know what the kiddo did with that Fender 30 but it sure was one of the sweetest amps I ever owned.

Steve it is from a local guy (buddy) who is holding it for me, I have so much going on right now
next week probably
I promise you'll see pictures !!!
The guy is a pedal builder, He did a tweed mod on the bass channel and did the true bias mod too.
He promised me I would be pleased with his Cap choices (best of the best)
Not much for me to do with this one, but I think it will be a nice discussion piece for us over at the Vintage amp forum (here on Fenders site)

I went full circle on this thread! I ordered the TSA-15 combo and "interviewed" it for a week. However, I was irked that the eBay seller had listed it as "new" His eBay name even matched a very well-known music store. Turns out, he bought it new and, now that he decided to sell it on eBay... he still considers it to be "new."

So I made him take it back and even pay my return shipping. I then decided to splurge and get a Super Sonic 22 which I had always wanted. I love the burn channel on it for the heavier things!

Then, out of the blue, a Blues Jr. with a Swamp Thang speaker and a MOD reverb tank popped up on CL and the owner was happy to trade for my Mustang V that was sitting in the basement getting no use!

I'm even having some fun playing through both amps at once with a Radial Big Shot!

It sounds purdy! If I had modded the BJr. myself I would have gone Cannabis Rex but the Swamp Thang is very good.

My stock SS22 on the clean channel (with same stock speaker as a stock BJr.) has a much more icy crystalline clean while the Swamp Thang BJr. sounds warmer and rounder.

Wonder what speaker would make a good upgrade for my SS22?

I would put the Swamp Thang in the SS22, and a Cannabis Rex in the BJr.
