Tomorrow I will be picking up a Pro Jr for the home music room.

My question is this...is a Pro Jr too heavy to stack on another combo amp?

Obviously I have seen a ton of heads on cabs and combos on cabs but not sure if I have really seen any combo on combo action. Cabs I suspect are designed to hold that weight but are amps?

The other combo is a larger 1x12 and I would take the handle off so the Pro Jr would sit flush.

Might seem like a stupid question to some but I don't know the answer so it's a valid one to ask.

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

Pro Junior is a very small amp , 20 lbs , sure you can.

We sit often on our combos , more than 120 lbs

That is a very good point...though 120lbs is just a hair off my actual weight.

But if you are keeping your feet on the floor you are displacing some of the weight. :-)

The cabinets that Leo Fender built were designed to withstand a fair measure of abuse......

Not so much with the contemporary stuff made of cardboard and cheese cloth, I'm afraid.

People have been stacking amps as far back as I can remember.

I don't see any cardboard on my new 68 CDR or CVR.
Both cabs feel quite sturdy.

I'd be more worried about it tipping over personally.
