question about the 68 drv, is there issues with only some or all, do they develop issues with time, or if I go to a music store and It doesn't make any noise its a good one? Or should I just stay away!

Anyone play a mesa rectoverb? how do the cleans these stack up against fender DRV?

Last question, when I gig out of town I use an enclosed trailer, will a tube amp last in those conditions? What precautions do others take? Thanks.

Last week I try one in Paris, it sounds great however, the first channel (modified one) is a "noise generator". I thought it was a valve.
In the mean time, I was testing a Deluxe 57 RI, this amp has no noise :) even full power but is simpler. Unfortunately, the speaker was changed with a blue Alnico (similar to Vox) the sound was boxy :(

My experience with my 68 CDR is that it's not a noise generator at all.
Not sure what exactly you experienced, but if either channel is noisy then look to a likely faulty pre tube.
Both the 68 CDR and 65 DRRI have some hiss at idle and that goes up with volume, but it's on a proper functioning amp that is not a big issue as most amps with have some hiss at higher volumes.
I prefer the 68 over the 65 and that's mainly due to the 68 having the modified channel along with reverb available on both channels compared to the 65's reverb only on one channel, which isn't a really big deal because basically both channels on the 65 DRRI are the same tone stack.
The 68 CDR gives you 2 different tone stacks in each channel, a big positive in my opinion. :)

I use the custom/modified channel almost exclusively on my CDR and CVR, it's a preference as I prefer the full more bassy tone. The vintage channel is great too, just depends on what I feel like hearing and with which guitar.

A noisy valve was my first thinking !!! The noise was ~ proportional to the volume and really annoying. If I can try another I will send my feedback. Excepted this noise, this amp sounded great I completely agree.
