My best friend and I started playing when we were around 12. For the past several years we've been practicing as a band in basement and gathering gear. A great drummer who is a friend helped us get better. He is local and set us up to be the band at a bar. Very nervous - never done anything like this before but this is what it's all about right? We get there and set up. Wouldn't you know my friend's VOX valvetronix 2x12 is flaking out. I was surprised a solid state would ever have an issue - imagine that. I said Tim- plug in to my Vibrolux. He strums to see if he has any volume and we break right into our first song. The amp pulled through.

Two guitars loud drummer - the amp filled the bar with sound. Loud and the overdrive on custom channel - awesome. 2x10s had plenty of bass and punch. Recorded the session and yes it sounded great and loud. In between songs the amp was very quiet. Even the 60 cycle hum was barely noticeable. Fender has a home run on this amp. It rocks.

Two guitars into the same amp? That is very cool. Were you each plugged into separate channels, or the same one?

Por favor, disculpe mi español, no se llega a la práctica con mucha frecuencia.

When we were kids way back, that was a normal thing. Sometimes we would plug in a mic and two guitars. It sucked if you got stuck with the mic in your channel because you were always fighting feedback. Nice save on the gig Congrats!

We were plugged into the same channel the custom channel. I had my ABy switch hooked up too. It was lit up like it had selected the Vintage channel. When I realized we had good sound I didn't even dare touch it. I guess it got overriden once both jacks were occupied.
As the next post said it must not be the most uncommon thing to use the amp for two instruments simultaneously

I'm still smiling!

Perhaps next time throw a spare amp in the car. Or get a PA into which you can DI if necessary.

Well done on your 1st gig. I bet you can't wait for the next one.
