I just aquired a super champ 2 and did some tube swapping in the V1 i noticed it had a Fender Brand tube in it I changed it out for a JJEC883 gave it more gain and warmed the tone right up,but my question is does anyone know where the Fender Tubes are from china, russia ??

Hi Dnalsiem,

Yes, China, Russia, Slovakia, just about anywhere that tubes are made. Fender, then GT, tests and relabels tubes from nearly every manufacturer. The older tubes that are labeled "Fender" were even some US made tubes at one time.

You have to look at the tube to try and determine where it's made. Some tubes still have the original labels intact, like "Sovtek", "Made In Russia", etc. If you could post a closeup pic of the tube, we might be able to tell its origin.

no i dont care was just wondeing i replaced it all ready with a JJecc83 and it warmed the amp up nice and even gave it a little more gain thanks
