Bob that look fantastic. Very clean and neat. If you don't mind could you send me the info on that. I think I'm gonna give it a go. Very impressive. :D

Thanks Tim, It's a kit from http://www.tubedepot.com
It really wasn't that tough of a build. Lots of fun. I put about 25 hours into it. I really took my time and triple checked every connection and measured every component. I saved 10% on sale. I cranked it to 10 this afternoon to see if anything would take a dump but it's solid as a rock. No weird noises crackles, smoke, nothing. I think I may have another winner. I think It sounds great and looks cool and I'm taking it out in a couple weeks to ring it out with some friends at a Pub in Philly. My buddy has a Marshall 1974x hand-wired amp so we can do a proper A/B. Can't wait.

Now I'm really thinking about a Supro model 24 http://www.turretboards.com/guitar_ampl ... index.html

I heard one of the new reissues at a guitar show a couple months ago and it was pretty badass.

Okay guys, I got to do an A/B with a real Marshall 1974x and it was cool to say the least. The owner of the real deal was seriously impressed with my clone, which was cool because this guy is brutally honest with his opinions which is a real help to me. My amp killed. It was a medium sized pub had no problem getting over a pretty aggressive drummer and cut the mix like a knife. The amps are very similar in tone and feel, but still different. He thought mine was a tad louder, and when I switched into solid state rectifier mode, it cut the mix even better, was a little tighter and louder yet. he was even surprised by the Chinese Celestion Greenback. His amp was mic'd and on a stand, mine wasn't mic'd and on the floor. He was surprised at how loud it was. His amp was set at about five on the volume dial mine was about five and a half. Mine seemed to have a little more headroom too, but I pretty much attribute that to the use of modern parts instead of vintage spec'd parts. All in all the amp's a keeperand I have a couple of guys want to talk about me building one for them. We'll see.....

Great news Supro and I'm not surprised at all by your findings, not many production line amps get the TLC and detailed attention and parts quality you put into your build, combine that with the satisfaction of actually hearing the results of your work and it's a win-win. 8)

Congrats again buddy! 8)

Thanks again Snowy, I just started a true point to point, tube driven reverb unit tonight. This stuff is so addicting. I started modding my old crybaby wah too. I never liked the way it sounded.
