I just bought the amp for Christmas and have played under an hour. Turned it on today with volume at 2 for both channels. I noticed an electrical smell and the right most 6L6 tube is bright orange. Makes no difference what I do with volume on either channel.

Next step?

Just to be clear, the heater in a tube has an orange glow, prominent on the top and bottom, which is normal, so both output tubes should have the orange glow. If one has no orange glow at all, that one is the one with a problem, either the tube or the socket/circuit for that tube.

On the other hand, a red glow in the middle of the tube (on the Plate) is not good, and indicates either a bad tube or bad socket/circuit for that tube.
