What's the consensus on Seismic Audio guitar amp speakers? I've searched around a bit and most comments I see say they're good for the price but nobody seems to rave about them. Anybody have any experience with them? How would you describe their sound? I'm looking at the Green Bedrock model. The price certainly is reasonable.

Considering how long it took me to find the guitar speakers on their website I'd be shocked if anyone managed to buy them.

I found them while searching Amazon.
Pretty cheap by comparison to many others.

I have experience with their speakers, mainly bass speakers. In SA cabs. They are not of the quality of Eminence. They are reliable un-spectacular speakers more suited to sound reinforcement, (PA), IMO. I have their speakers in my PA cabs and I wish I had bought Emi speakers. As far as guitar speakers go. I am leaning heavily toward Weber. Just got my first custom made alnico hemp cone 10" speaker from them. I have had a Sig8S (alnico) for a few years and love the articulation and jangle. To my ears, Amer. voiced speakers jangle and Brit voiced ones chime.

I want to start a thread on my new speaker and Weber in general. I'll get around to it. :D

Here is a pic of my bass stack. All SA cabs and speakers. It is a very good sounding rig. With a Rumble 350 powering them. (Pic taken before Rumble purchase) I want to get Ear Candy bass cabs. 1x15 and a 2x10 fitted with Tone tubby hemp speakers. We'll see how my tax return goes, LOL.

The top cab is 4x8.

More suited to P/A work. So that means you find them to be rather flat, I take it? Perhaps thin sounding?

If one looks at their frequency response it is largely flat, with no color added. Yes, flat. I like it for my bass but, in the vocal cabs they are not as clean as one might like. As bass speakers they perform well and will do me fine until my upgrades start happening. For guitar, Emi over SA any day for me. However, Weber has caught my ears and will probably be seeing the bulk of my future speaker buying.

I'm looking for a pair of economical speakers (12" 16Ω) that are at least passable as guitar amp speakers so I can sell an amplifier without losing my Celestion Blues. Oh, dopey me sold the stock speakers like an idiot never thinking this day would would come. I've been checking the local classifieds for a couple of months and anything I've found on eBay has presented shipping issues. I'm trying to keep my costs as low as possible, naturally.

Oh well, I guess I'll keep waiting for something to come along.
