Yep they still make them. I've had one for over30 years and it the THE most reliable and best sounding amp I've ever owned. The only problem is they weigh a lot and are ear splitting loud.

Totally agree with 63supro! I loved mine - very loud and very heavy. Oh man did it ever sound good and was sooo reliable!

Mine's hand-wired, I don't know about the new ones.

The new ones have the printed circuit boards. No more point-to-point wiring. Too expensive, I guess.

Hi,
I have a 65 Twin Reverb Re-Issue and I really do like it, imo, one of the finest tube amps available. 8)

Great amps, as others stated the weight is almost too much to handle unless you have roadies!

I used to perform with TWO in stereo with a stereo delay pedal & chorus pedals. Talk about the TONE. But, setup & the weight is crazy.

If you want to hear several Fender Twin 65 Reissue tones, be sure to check out www.soultostrings.com

Under the media page , the songs "Every Single Beat" and "Trisha's Song" are all done with Twins & several cool effects pedals.

I put JBL speakers in one of my Twin amps, this is highly recommended for very clean playin that will not break up.

The '65 Reissue is a splendid amp in every way.

Soultostrings, where are your settings set at when your tubes begin to breakup? If you don't mind me asking.

Fhopkins,
Good question. Since I have JBL speakers in my amp, it is very difficult to breakup actually. It would have to be on at least 8 volume wise, with humbuckers. With single coils, the only way to get breakup is to use a boost pedal such such as a Micro-Amp by MXR.

If you are wanting a slight on the edge of breakup tone, I'd go with a bassman instead of a Twin. I had a 60's bassman that was incredible and very touch responsive.

Pedals do sound lovely through Twins though, I recommend them especially since you get the added reverb. Thanks for checking out my site, keep rocking.
