I have no recording gear.
Maybe I can get my brother to help me out.
BB, the funny thing is all the praise I gave my Egnater Rebel 20, it now sees less and less use because of the 5e3. If this rig works out, I might just sell the head. I really like the speaker cabs though.
I have stereo pedals too. I just built a clone of an Ibanez Flying Pan a few months ago. It's awesome. It ping pongs tremolo and chorus through two amps. Pretty mind blowing swirly stuff.

Get your self a DR-05 by Tascam, so easy to use and the recording is pretty good too !
then get yourself a free account on BOX , then you can share clips anywhere.
Fits in a shirt pocket and they are pretty cheap

Thanks Tim, Photo's for sure. I'll see what I can do about the sound. I just plan on taking my time. The parts are picked to order so I have to wait for it to ship. I'm like a kid at Christmas time.
I've been wanting to do this for a long time. It was a tossup between the BYOC Tweed Royal and a Supro Model 24 clone. This is the third year in a row that I've built an amp. The holidays are rough for me. It all started when I lost my Mom and then my Dad soon after. It's my therapy and works well for me. I've built about a dozen pedals too. It keeps me sane.

That's pretty cool. The low power Twins are sweet too.
My master plan is to use the A/B/Y box I built and run the 5e3 and the Marshall together. The perfect Fender/Marshall mix.

That should be great!

Since you already have a computer all you need is a decent USB microphone.
Then install Audactiy software, it's free.
Easy to record with that setup and there are some editing capabilities in the software.
You can output the better .wav format or the more compressed smaller file size .mp3.

On ebay you can find the Audio Technica AT2020 USB for $130 shipped.
It's a very nice mic, great for recording amps.
I have one and use it for recording music and voice overs.

There is also a nice CAD U37 mic combo for very low cost.
It comes with the U37 mic, JVC headphones with 40mm drivers and 100db sensitivity, a pop filter, and a low mic stand perfect for recording combo speakers.
And the best part is the combo costs only $70 w/free shipping.
Plug into your computers USB in, fire up Audacity and off you go. :)

Here's the ebay link for the CAD mic.

Thanks for the info Rverb. I still have no interest in doing my own home recording. My iMac has Garage Band and I even have all the backing tracks, backing vocal plug-ins I also have Amplitube but I'm never happy with how things sound digitally recorded on a computer. All I have to do is talk to my brother. I don't want to make an investment in something I have no interest in and I work with a lot of musicians who record. I just don't care for digital recordings.

That's easy to fix. Pick up a used 2" analog tape recorder off of ebay and a Neve 8078 console and you'll be in analog heaven.
