I am a complete newby when it comes to playing guitar and even more new to using a tube amp.

I have a new HRDIII and when I switch from the clean to drive channel, I lose volume. Any ideas? Is this a settings issue? Is this a tube issue? or is this something that I need to send the amp back to the factory for?

Any help is much appreciated.

Turns out that the master pot needs to be replaced. I must have damaged it in transit from my buddy's house. - drag.

You do realize that the Master works in conjunction with the Drive pot (both only for the drive/more drive channels), and the Volume is only for the clean channel.......right? Doubtful that you've damaged a pot without ripping off the knob.

My thoughts too. Wondered if either the gain or master volume might be turned down. I am still figuring out the subtleties of the drive channel. Starting to be able to work with it to some satisfaction.
