I have recently acquired an evil Twin. The serial number is CR-228XXX. Can anyone help me date it based on this or is there another method.

I want to try to find get the schematic for this model as I broke the volume pot at the shaft. It is the push / pull bright switch one and I want to be sure I am ordering the correct part.

An electronics qualified friend of mine is going to look at it for me and has asked if I can source the correct schematic.

Any help would be appreciated. Also, the reverb doesn't work!

Shematics are here ;

Or this one

Volume with switch look to be volume D136D8 on schematic close to V2 B.

Good luck to find one .

Thanks for that. This schematic seems to show the push button bright switch. My amp has the push pull volume pot. Does anyone have this schematic?

The schematic wich show volume part D136D8 is, IMO, volume pot with bright switch because they have same part number .

Did you see that ?

On link I send to you , you can find other schematic if you need .

Better to post on Vintage amp forum, not modern .Anyway experts went to both forums

Do you have any photo of the amp , Are you sure it is a "Evil Twin ?
For this area amp , CBS did not do all schematics

Look this schematic , we see clearly dot --------between volume pot and switch meaning both working together .

http://ampwares.com/schematics/the_twin.pdf

Look you need a 1 Meg pot , you may have to use this one;

Thanks for that guys!

I have now broken off the clean channel volume pot (push pull bright switch pot). Can anyone help me identify the part number?

IMO there is no part number to order this original pot . You must use something close as I show you , see answer before .

That is what I do last year for a customer.

Picture may help

The link above suggests that this is the tube layout of the 94 twin. I would be grateful if anyone has any corrections....
