Performed at a gig Saturday night and my Fender Hot Rod Deluxe amp worked perfectly. I have had the amp for about 10 years and have had no problems with it. The tones produced by this amp are fabulous. I turned the amp on yesterday for the 1st time after transporting the amp back to my house from the gig and I noticed a low hum that started immediately after I turned the standby switch on. Here are the particulars;

1. The hum was present regardless of whether or not I had a guitar cable plugged into the amp or not
2. The hum level did not change - regardless of channel or volume knob level changes, even if volume was set to zero.
3. The hum level did not change after trying different plug outlets in my house
4. The hum level did not change after trying different guitar cables
5. On the clear channel, there may be a very slight level of distortion that I noticed when playing the guitar, but not 100% sure about this
6. The hum is not really noticeable once you start playing the guitar
7. After about 40 minutes of use, there may have been a very slight increase in the loudness of the hum - but again not 100% sure about this either

Any thoughts as to what could be causing the problem
Also does anyone know a good repair shop in South Orange County Ca area?
thanks for your help.

It could be a tube . 12XX7s or 6L6s
Could be a filter caps or printed circuit broken on a filter cap circuit .

Other possibilities to check are the ground, sources of noise such as lights, computers, and other appliances near the amp.

As to Fender authorized service centers:
