I'm thinking of gigging with my 59 Bassman RI and am looking for any recommendations for a amp stand to use with it. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Not so much a stand, but I really like Fender's kick back legs . Just drill four holes to install and lean the amp back 30° . It enhances the amps projection, but makes setup easy as it is attached. One less thing to carry.

I agree. The tilt back legs does help the amp's projection. Probably costs a lot less than a stand too, plus an amp leaned back on the legs just looks cool, to me.

I don't think I would drill holes in my 59 Bassman. If it came with tilt back legs I would use them. It's 24 yrs old and all original and gonna stay that way. It's a first yr RI.

I've been looking for a good tilt back stand for my DRRI, but have yet to find the design I'm looking for in my head. Something that you don't have to hoist the heavy amp up onto. W/a tongue that lays flat on the floor, i.e. similar to a hand truck, that you can place the amp on & then tilt it back on legs. Also something that won't block the open back. I could think of other additions like wheels and a handle for transporting, but even w/o those extras, I can't find even the basic design that fits. I think it's a DIY project.

Friend uses a ProLine stand, when on stage. Still need to lift the amp onto the stand. Maybe a block-&-tackle? Or live-in roadies?

Thats the one ive been looking at. A 59 Bassman is not to heavy to lift. Its not any heavier than My Marshall head.

The Standback works great, I've used em for years and keep one folded up in the back of each amp, ready when needed.

thx Snowy, might be something I could use. Just 2 questions. How sturdy is it? It looks a little flimsy. And how stable is the amp while it's leaning back on it?

p.s. Is there anything you don't like about it?

I trust my amps on the Standback, never had a problem that caused me to doubt they were well supported and solid. I've been using them for about 5 years. The stand may look flimsy but the design is clever, well made, and they are in fact very solid when set up correctly.
