It is described as a direct 6L6GC replacement, with the following difference:
..."But features additional controlled zero-bias characteristics and a low loss base".
What does the "controlled zero-bias" difference mean?
(my intended application a 480 plate volt deville)
Thanks

btw...I presume the "low loss base" means the tube transfers less heat to the tube socket while inverted ........and further presume that's a good thing.

Just an fyi.
I was advised by dougs tubes that JJ's (6L6GC's) were their most robust tubes, and they would'nt put a Russian tube at 480 plate volts.....with the possible exception of the 5881.
JJ's it is.
