I'm having issues with the Reverb and Vibrato.
This is my first Fender Tube amp.
I am trying to get a footswitch to work. I have a 2 button generic that works fine on my laney. Two button TRS.

I try it on the Fender and the reverb and vibrato working in and out but there is endless noise. So I tried a regular TRS cable and stripped the ends of the 3 wires to try and get the vibrato and reverb working at the same time.

No matter what config I use with the wires, the vibrato will turn on, but not the reverb. When I pull the TRS cable out of the FS jack on the amp, the reverb works, but not the tremelo.

I'm reluctant to spend $40 on a Fender FS till I know how this works and why my experiment wont work.

Thanks

Noise is bad cable or wiring

wrong wiring

You have a great amp , a original Fender footswitch is good invest .

Tremolo work when input RCA phono jack is short.
Reverb stop to work when input RCA phono jack is short . Nothing at this RCA jack = reverb always ON.

I don't have an RCA jack for the footswitch. I have TRS Input I believe.

TRS are some kind of phone plug/ jacks ..You are shure of that , I never saw that on Fender tubes amps, alway RCA plug .
And a Deluxe Reverb Reissue with TRS are not a Fender amp reissue :(

This your problem , you use wrong jack

There is a footswitch jack on the back of the amp. It's not RCA. It's this jack, which I thought was TRS.

Fender Blackface deluxe Reverb use RCA plugs

Bad to me too , I mean Fender never use phone plug in original old Blackface amp , only RCA.

This is new to me they use stereo phone plug / jack on new amps. Why not , it is more easy to use .

stratele52 is correct, short ring to ground (sleeve) to turn off reverb and short tip to ground (sleeve) to turn on vibrato (tremolo actually).

From your description, it seems that both circuits are working and you have a mistake in your wiring for the foot-switch.
