Hi, I purchased a FM65R and would appreciate advice on how to use the PWR OUT/IN jacks.
Fender's use of the word "PWR" implies to me "electrical current" and I don't want to take a chance burning up either the amp or my Midiverb effects box. Old my old amp I would plug my guitar into the Midiverb and then cable the Midiverb OUT to amp's AUX IN. If I wanted to connect this way to the FM65R would I connect to the "PWR IN"?

As you can probably tell I'm a complete novice when it comes to setting up effects. Even the single paragraph in the FM65R owner's manual is confusing to me. Can anyone recommend a good resource for learning the setup of effects? I saw another post where an option was to plug the guitar into the amp, and then loop through the effects box and back into the amp. I assume the person was going AMP OUT to EFFECTS IN, the EFFECTS OUT to back to AMP IN. Have no clue the pros/cons of hooking it up this way instead of the way I'm familiar with.
I want to use the FM65R with my Fender T-Bucket. I have a Vintage Gretsch and Silverface Vibrolux Reverb, so no effects needed for those. When I purchased the T-Bucket I also purchased a Mustang I amp, But that amp's collecting dust now because it's too complicated for me and cant I just can't find a warm acoustical sound I like. I then decided to pick up a used FM65R and a Midiverb. :?

Either way is fine, whichever sounds best to you.

The label "Pwr In" means that you can also use the "Out" from another amp, and use the other amp's controls for the second amp. This way the second amps' preamp controls are bypassed.

Thanks for your advice. I hooked the midiverb out to amp's PWR in and it works great- nothing got burned up. :)

Cool. 8)

Connected this way, the controls on your amp are bypassed, so volume and tone controls will be from the midiverb.
