After much tossing and turning, I finally took the plunge on a new DRRI to round out my amp collection. This is one of Fender's limited runs, which although has been released with these cosmetics in the past, I believe is currently exclusive to zZounds/American Musical Supply. They are beautiful to stare at and and beautiful to play through. I'm looking forward to when its Jensen P12Q is fully broken in. Get 'em while they last in you're on the hunt for one!

Congratulations on your acquisition! I just picked one of these up on Monday, myself. Blonde Special Edition… Got it for a steal in brand new condition. We're loving it!

Nice one! A friend of mine has the same amp and it sounds great. Enjoy it and play it a lot.

Thanks all!

I noticed that when dialing in the vibrato that the Intensity control doesn't really become audible until about "4" on the dial. Is this common with the reissues, if anyone knows? I'm guessing it is.

congrats on the amp! How do you like it(DRRI)? I`m considering the head with a 2x12 cab. Just so hard never having heard one. How`s the breakup?I`m thinking this is the ultimate blues amp for me.My post was yesterday on the head. Enjoy!

Thanks! I am loving it so far. I've been splitting my signal via a Voodoo Lab Amp Selector. Routing it to this DRRI and an Ibanez TSA15H mini stack (using their 2 matching 1x12 cabs). Clean, clean, clean on both sides. I'd actually say the Ibanez is cleaner, but that has a lot to the speakers I think.

The one thing I'd really like to be able to do is A/B the Vibrato on the reissue against a true original, or even against one of the reissues that, from what I've read, used to have a diode and not the current separate daughterboard/PCB trem circuit (or whatever it's called) that mine has. Regardless, the vibrato sounds very good as does the reverb.

It begins breaking up just past "4". And yes, it roars. I am still breaking in the speaker so I haven't left it cranked for more than a couple minutes but the tone is there. The "pop" sound that everyone complains about when powering off is present. It's annoying, but not a deal breaker. I just hope the amp holds up overall. There have been a lot of complaints in recent years about various component failures as tolerances are brought lower and lower. We'll see.

I watched this entire video and it's what made up my mind. This guy sold the amp in one swipe, and you don't even need to speak German!: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v8X7SjkzZFU

Have you read my post on the DRRI head a few days ago? My problem is not sure if i need DRRI or 45w Super Reverb. Just don`t know about the 22 watts and breakup starting @ only 4 or 5. I want to live @ early breakup but a good overall volume. I will probably order the DRRI head and if not satisfied ,return for Super Reverb. How`s the tone?

The older DRRI's had the famous tremolo "Tick", just like the BF Deluxe reverbs. The daughter board circuit removed the Tick. There were alot of complaints about it.
