Why doesnt the EVH 5150 III get love from this forum? Its made by fender and its badass.
There are a bunch of EVH owners out there with no place to be..

Does it say "Fender" on the headstock?

Amp forum....maybe reffering to the amp?

There just aren't that many owners on this forum. If it was popular, it would probably get almost as much love as the HRDlx.

You'd have to assume.

I've played through a few 5150 heads. The overall impression I got was, if Eddie walked into the room and plugged into it, he'd know exactly what to do and what to play and it would sound amazing.

But with me at the helm...

Yeah sorry, amp threads. Figured it was obvious and yes it says fender right up front.
Its too bad, its a stellar amp and needs a place to be talked about. Ive seen a few threads on here and they dont get many responses, so I was inquiring. .

My guess is, and it's only that, a high % of Fender amp fans tend to favor lower gain amps, hence less publicity for the higher gain Fender models......not without exception, of course.

Was Eddie Van Halen that guy who had a tone that was relevant back in 1984?

You guys DO realize that knobs do turn, right? I can get fender cleans on this amp anytime plus a whole lot more. I'll be as bold to say it can almost out marshall a marshall.
There is no reason to hate here.
Howard Kaplan told me its been a very successful amp for fender.

Ummm ..... no. Sorry. You'll have to turn the important ones to the left, not right.

Just messin' witcha.

Big difference in "hate" and not showing "love" (which I interpret as not praising). I don't recall reading any "hate" on the EVH amp, just not a great deal of discussion at all. Could be wrong?
