I found a '63 Vibroverb reissue recently, priced around $850.
Specs sound like an amp I may like, as I like 6L6 power.
It's weight is only about 4lbs more than my 68 CDR, and it has 2x10's compared to 1x12.
Controls and layout look similar to the '68 cdr and '65 drri.
Tonally, is this amp like a deluxe reverb except with 6L6 tone?

I heard a few YT video's and the amp sounds really great.
It sounded something like a mix between a Twin reverb and dlx reverb.

Looks like production years were '90-'95, and it was part of the "vintage reissue" series.
Any known issues with these amps?
Does the price look good?
The amps condition looks very nice, at least on the pictures as I haven't seen it in person.

They're great amps, IMHO. I've bought, and unfortunately, sold a couple of them over the last 20 years, always chasing the tone I was looking for. In hindsight, they were what I was looking for, wish I could find another. The only negative thing I ever heard about them was the original speakers, which were supposed to be repro oxfords or utahs were pretty crappy sounding and should be replaced. The first one I had did have the original speakers, the second had Jensens. Honestly, I'm not really sure the Jensens sounded any better than the originals.

As far as the price, that seems to be a little high, unless it's in dead mint, all original, condition. I'd see if you could get the seller to come down, at least $50.

Good luck with the purchase, let us know how it turns out.

These are great amps and the reason you don't see many for sale is because no one wants to turn em loose! I wouldn't say they sound like a Deluxe Reverb with 6L6's though, they sound like a Vibroverb! This amp is a reissue of itself in a manner of speaking and Fender did a pretty good job replicating it. The speakers aren't bad in them, but a pair of vintage Jensens won't hurt either.

The amp has the three tube "Tremolo" and is its main feature IMHO and when dialed up has a nice swirl to it. I think the price is not too bad either, seems lower than I have been seeing, but all that depends on condition.

Good luck, and let us know what happens and post pics of it if you can.

I bought one as soon as they came out. They have the classic Fender clean and the tremolo is sine-wave and smoother sounding than the opto-isolator trem of the AB763 (i.e. 65 Twin and Deluxe Reverb). I gigged with this amp for a few years. Well built reissue of the original. Aside from my Twin Reverbs it is the best sounding, best playing, best gigging amp I ever owned. Takes pedals very well. If Fender ever reissues it again I will buy it in a heartbeat.

Thanks for the replies fella's.

The amp looks to be in great condition in the picts and per description.
Sounds like I should go and at least check it out, it might be what I want.

I wish it were black though. The blonde is ok, but I just prefer black.

THX again. :D
