i've got a few problems with my hot rod deville 410, bought it 2nd hand from someone, the main problem might be the tubes that went bad, don't know it myself.

the main problem i had, used my amp for a couple of hours, put it on standby, pulled out the cables, footswitch cable.., after a minute the channels started switching by themselves, the LED began to turn yellow and then back to normal, then back to yellow, after a while it went from normal to yellow, red, started flickering so i put it off, could it be because of the tubes who need replacement? maybe something overheated?

Hi sepp410,

It's not tube related. Check the switching power supply, +/- 16 volts, in particular the solder joints.

pulled out the cables, footswitch cable.., after a minute the channels started switching by themselves,

does this behavior continue with the foot switch cable plugged in?

it's either the jack is borked, or as shimmilou says, a cold solder joint

i plugged it in and out, it's working like it should, haven't experienced this problem after i plugged it in and out so it should be fixed
