Were do you want to use them , which amp ?

You want to use them as a bridge rectifier or ....

In a Super Reverb.

I dont really know. I guess the Bridge rectifier is even better than full-wave?

Would this work, but with the 1n5062's instead?

"Can i make a solid state rectifier out of 4 1N5062?"

A diode is a SS rectifier. A bridge rectifier is a full wave rectifier. There are two diode full wave rectifiers, and four diode full wave rectifiers. The four diode rectifiers used in many amps are called a bridge rectifier.

Can you be more specific about your application? Do you want to replace a tube rectifier with a SS rectifier? There are voltage considerations, as the SS rectifier will increase the B+ when used in place of a tube rectifier for an amp power supply.

The link shows a two diode full wave rectifier, and it appears that it is used to replace a tube rectifier. This will increase the B+ voltage in an amp.

^Exactly.

I want to replace a tube rectifier. I will rebias and my new caps can handle the extra voltages.

My long answer is loose in the space .

Short one ;

Leave this amp with tube rectifier unless you have some skill in electronic

The 5062 has a PIV rating of 800 volts, and a current rating of 2 amps. A 1N4007 would have a higher PIV rating, although only a 1 amp current rating, which is plenty. If you want to use the 5062, you might consider using two diodes in series in place of each diode shown on your diagram in order to increase your PIV rating.

Be sure that your tubes can handle the higher voltage.

OP...you do realize there will be a tone difference correct? The compression caused from a tube rectifier, especially a SR, is part of what makes it sound so good and it touch sensitive while playing.

I think you're crazy, but it is your amp so if nothing else enjoy project.
