Delivery via drone has been common for quite some time now......

However, you might be less than thrilled about the "package" they dump on your doorstep.

I was on my up to northern California through Nevada one day a few years back and I came across the airfield area where they train the pilots for flying those things. Pretty neat to watch.

The national training center for teaching military personnel to operate unmanned aerial vehicles (all service branches) is located at Ft. Huachuca, Arizona -- about five minutes' drive from my home. As well, there are several field-training sites throughout the west and southwest regions of the country.

I have been by that base several times Arjay. I used to drive a big truck and delivered roofing to the Home Depot style stores in Sierra Vista. I loved that run, it was a once stop day going from Phoenix to Sierra Vista and back and waiting for the unload.

That is why I liked flat bed over big boxes. You don't have to unload the flat bed trucks they do it for you with forklifts.

I liked that run every month or so, and also the one to Yuma. I used to take Chep pallets (the blue ones) back and forth to and from the farms down there. I could sit in the truck while they unloaded, eat my lunch, or do whatever.

I'll stick with Sweetwater, great service, products, and prices, upfront policies (no surprises). I think that you paid a very reasonable price to try something and then return it simply because you didn't like it.

I wholeheartedly agree! Why should they eat shipping because you decided to return it simply because you didn't like it. $11 is reasonable while you are beating on the item and now they have to resell it at a loss. Put yourself in their place. They have to buy the inventory, advertise, hire employees who have families to feed, but you want to begrudge them for charging $11 that doesn't even cover the cost of what they lost. Go cry to someone else!

look at it this way- it cost you gas money to return it to a local store. do they reimburse you for it if you take an item back?

An excellent analogy, PB.
