I recently acquired a Fender Super-Sonic 60 112 combo that came with a preamp tube pulled. It really quietened the amp to what I would consider to be bedroom level, and the tone is killer, but is it safe to run it without a tube like that? Thanks!

It is safe if it is a 12XX7 tube. But amp won't work on all channel / effect.

Wich tube are you talking about ? Number on tube ? Photo are so poor

Tube's name start from the right , from the back of the amp .

Far right , the first one is V1 , next one V2....

The tube is supposed to be a 12AX7WC, and all it did was quieten up the amp. Everything on the amp still works.

Sorry for the bad pics, here is a diagram. Circled tube is the pulled tube

This tube is used for " Return " output jack . It look to me it can also bring some gain from the guitar signal . I need to study this amp more to be sure , but no time for .

Anyway , it is safe to use your amp without this tube .

Some people put a volume control connect between "Send" and " Return " jacks to do same thing.

Enjoy a bedroom level amp :D
