My "brand new" (was still in box, but made in 2012) SuperSonic Twin's reverb is not working at all (common problem, apparently ). Before replacing the tubes, cables, etc., I'm thinking about swapping my 97 Deville's much better looking, gold-plated US-made tank for the crappy Korean one in the SS and seeing if that works. Problem is, even though they are the same size, same brand, and have the same number of springs, I can't verify if they're omh compatible because the new one doesn't have the standard Accutronics numbering, it just has "Model no. 64063", and I can't find what that's equivalent to anywhere online. The Deville tank is a 4EB3C1B.

Rather than risk the new amp, i tried the new tank in the Deville and it worked. After further inspection, the SS's reverb tube was cracked. I still want to use the old US made tank in the SS, though, so I'm still curious if they're the same. Anybody know?

You can try any reverb tank, there is no danger for the amp

Actually, if the test tank's grounding scheme doesn't match the design parameters of the driver and recovery circuits, the reverb likely will not work at all.
