yes thats because they werent, i put the picture up so people could tell me if they thought the solder pad was damaged and then re soldered.

However now, im getting no sound whatsoever out of the amp.. no speaker crackling or anything,. changed speakers and same thing.. so its not that..

thinking about changing out r26.. ive got the pot just not the chassis for it.. and i think i need a hotter iron.. mine doesnt seem hot enough to even get copper braid to work properly to remove it

I'd retouch the solder joints and be sure you have no solder bridges between connections. They look a bit sloppy. Also recheck all the connections you made. Be sure to discharge the filter caps before you handle the board.

I agree with some of the other comments. A Hrdlx is a tricky amp to mod because the board is easily damaged. I've built a couple amps and still wouldn't mess with it.

+1

Rummaging around inside one of these amps without a modicum of formal training and experience is a fool's errand.

What is your soldering iron , ?

Around 35 watts it is good for printed circuit . Too hot may damage board

A cheap 30 watts soldering iron may not work properly . Soldering is not only to apply heat to some lead......

You have a solder bridge on that volume pot. You really need to clean up those solder joints. Did you run that coax cable under the leg of that 22uf cap? After looking at the photos, you may need to clean up most of the solder joints.

I believe the bridge you are talking about is on the master volume pot and ive been told thats how it comes from factory.

Clean them how? In what fashion. and for what reason

And the "coax" cable was tied to the old cap like that so thats where i put it back

And Fender started using crappy RoHS solder (no lead) around 2005. This is what Retroverbial mentioned, your solder and Fender's choice of solder do not mix well. It is usually best to remove all of the RoHS crap from any place that you are resoldering.

Yeah, you might need that. I think for the screen grid voltage.
