Is there a bright cap in this amp (similar to the ones that is hardwired on the Fender Deluxe Reverbs), that is additionally connected to the bright switch?

There is nothing quite like the Super, i keep mentioning to everyone i get to talk gear with.
But if there was ONE thing i would change. ONLY one thing. That would be the bright-switch.

It's unmanageable at lower volumes (3-4). Especially if i am using any sort of pedal. I am not a pedal guy, but it happens sometimes.

The reason why i think is there is a bright cap like there is on a Deluxe, is because the bright switch on the Super is absolutely LOVELY at volumes like 6 and above.

Have you tried turning down your treble control?

I'm given to understand that it's quite effective for tone management at lower volume levels.

I LOVE my bright switch. Being the knew owner of a SRRI, I found no use for the bright switch with my Tele or Firebird, the sound of exactly what I wanted was there!

However; I was disappointed when plugging in the LP and ES335, UNTIL I flicked that little switch upward. In the course of an evening, I use all four guitars. This SRRI allows me to do that without resetting knobs. All I do is flick the bright switch off when it comes to tunes done with the Tele.

Oh , So, Happyyyyy :D :!: :!: :D 8) 8) :!: :!:

Ooopps ... I forgot ... I got my 'sweet spot' on this baby at just about 4. Next weekend, I'll record a bunch of dry clips with my 4 primary guitars. Where's the best site to post these for y'all to hear??

Bright cap = non-adjustable bright switch.
Bright switch = adjustable bright cap.
