I am thinking about buying one of these next month and I am getting conflicting info on the power tubes. Some of the specs I have read tell me it has 6V6 and on the Fender site it tells me they are 6L6. Has anyone bought one of these recently? Any issues or problems I should watch out for?

I have two amps with 6L6's now, an original Blues Deville 410 and a Blues Deluxe Reissue, I stuck 6L6GC's in both of those and they have some kinda good tone.... I have the 6V6's in my Deluxe Reverb Reissue and my Egnater Tweaker 15 head.. Both of those have real good tone as well, but much differnt than the 6L6 animals...

My DRRI is kinda dead silent and most of the time I play it cranked on ten on both channels, bass all the way up and the treble all the way down. I use a Radial Tone Bone ABY to get both channels at once and use the volume and tone knobs on my guitars as the master controls. It does hiss a little bit but not much when I jam with it like that...

+1!

I once saw Johnny Winter playing four of the damn things at a concert in Kansas City. It was a truly seismic event!

I am hoping I can hook my pedals up like I do for my DRRI or similar...

I plug my overdrives and guitar into channel two input two, plug the input of my Zoom G5 into channel two input one and the output of the Zoom G5 into channel one input two. Sounds pretty good like this in DRRI..

My overdrives currently are an old Rat, Hardwire CM2 and a Fulltone Fulldrive 2 Mosfet..

I do have a Radial BigShot ABY, thinking of knocking the hell out of the DRRI with the overdrives and using the 68 Twin for thick cleans with my rotary and univibe...

One of the strats I have has two Dimarzio Virtual Vintage Blues and a Dimarzio X2N and 11's, that ought to raise up the level a bit...

Custom channel for the pedals and vintage for the cleans aby would be good. For fun just use the custom when playing clean its awesome too. But with my pedals I have to keep the treble just below 5

Well I think it's a keeper..

Ran it through the blender last night and this morning..
I thought I would not like the speakers, but they are a pretty good match for the amp...

It is not as heavy as I thought from what I have been reading on the net and the old one I had before, in fact it is lighter than my Blues Deville, which is a good thing..

I was able to jump all of the cables like I do with my DRRI for my Zoom G5 and no hiss..

I hooked up the Radial ABY and it sounds real nice and it is going to be really flexible with that thing hooked up..

So I guess I will work with it for a month and see how it breaks in, then maybe start some tube swaps..

I have not had a Twin Reverb since the 80's, but it sounds just as good as the one I had then, in fact it is a lot less hissy and noisy and plays with my overdrives well...
