vince_fr, welcome to the Forum! :D

See if that 0.047mfd coupling cap, connected to the two 2.2meg-ohm resistors, is leaking DC. Just pull one leg of the cap and re-measure the voltage point in question.

Good luck! Keep us posted.

Hi BMW
Thanks for your message
I pull one leg of the capacitor.
Still same measure : 60V (instead of 120)

Re checked the 12AX socket : clear. No short.
I noticed :
- when measuring the two resistor legs, before the resistor body itself, I have both 250V on each.
- when measuring the same two resistor legs, after the resistor body itself, I have 160 V on right resistor, which is ok. But I have 60V on the left resistor (instead of 120).

That's why I asked if the 2,2M is really appropriate to reduce the voltage from 250V to 120V.
That may be a stupid question, since thousand of 6G15 reverbs have been made for ages ...

When removing all tubes, the faulty point goes up to 81V (far from the target=120V).

Another information.
I made a measure on the two heaters (green cables from the PT to the pilot light and then to the tubes).
I have 2.8 or 2.9 AC on them.
I was expected 6.3V but it's 00h28 here and I'm starting having confusion ...

You live in Europe ?

Check your ground connection on the other 2.2 meg resistor. Check for voltage on the end of the 2.2 meg resistor that is supposed to be grounded. It sounds like your ground isn't connected.

Disconnect and check the 2,2 meg resistor , the one going at same ground than 25 MFD cap. May be short ?

Check turret , where you have 60 V if is grounded / short to chassis

I have a original Fender Reverb 6G15

Some reading ;

No power on Reverb unit ,all caps discharge

Ohms from V1 pin 7 to ground; 1. 170 M
__________________________________

Reverb power ON;

Where you read 250 v I read 215v

Where you read 120 v I read 125v

Where you read 60 v I read ; 95v

My lower voltage could be 'cause all original filter caps on my Reverb unit . It work well . I must replace all filter caps.

Hi
Thanks for your answers.
Yes I live in Europe.

Ok, I'll precisely check if the turret @60V is short or not.
I go for it.

The reason I'm checking all this is because when testing the reverb, I have sound but no reverb. So I started checking the voltages and found the one @60V.

I found a guy having the same issue as mine (60V ...), unfortunately I can't understand his outcome :

vince_fr,

Can you post the schematic for this DIY 6G15? Maybe compared it to Fender's 6G15. If the link poster had similar issues, maybe there is a problem with the DIY setup?

Sure !
I mainly folloed the triode schema :
http://site.triodestore.com/6G15ReverbLayoutV2.pdf

Having also a look to the weber one :
http://www.diyrecordingequipment.com/wp ... layout.jpg

The only difference I have is my filter caps : I have 47uf instead of 40.
And I created my own diode based rectifier like in the schema here : http://i.imgur.com/8Ofqn.jpg
This diode rectifier works fine (having DC at expected voltage).

Last minute : I will test the impedance on my reverb tank. Mayby it is burned.

A big thanks for your help.

Vincent

Also : I created a "ground rail" (copper) on which all the groud wires go.
You can see it on the original post. The "ground rail" is on top of chassis, just below the pots.

Statele, yes I used the triode layout as my main model.
Yes, I live in France, near Paris.
