Great combo!

I'd like to get a Twin, but I just don't have a need for that kind of power.
Even though most people don't need that much wattage, having all that power gives you a really nice headroom for ultra clean tones at higher volumes.

I too have a Strat, a 1991 American Strat Plus DLX w/Lace sensors a red, silver, and blue.
I've had it since that time when I ordered it in a Red burst with black edges.
LOVE that guitar through a Fender amp.
I'm thinking of adding a classic single coil Strat for that really bright and spanky twang.
The Lace Sensors are fantastic and very quiet even on very high gain, just can't bring myself to swap in non Lace singles.

Enjoy your new rig, I'm sure you will. :D

I like having the power when I want it! never worry about head room and it takes my pedals very well. Strats do sound so good through it, even my SG sounds excellent clean.

+1

That's one guarantee with a Twin Reverb -- regardless of venue, you'll never find yourself "outgunned".

Yes, it's definitely the ultimate all purpose guitar amp! (or "amps" when you consider that it's two channels sound like different amps) I also own an American Standard Fender Telecaster, a Gibson Les Paul Studio, and a Gretsch 5420 and 5122. They all sound amazing through it!! I play my Gretsch 5420 the majority of my time these days, actually.

I also like having that kind of volume because I think guitars record better at high volumes.

Eric Clapton might disagree with that. During Cream he used a full 100 watt stack to record with, I'd say he did ok. Of course he did that with Tommy Dowd at the controls and we all know he can do no wrong!

I played the RI amps the Deluxe and the Twin Sunday, but I like the 68's much better! Deluxe was a bit sterile next to the 68!
