Hi,

I have had a Supersonic Twin for about a year. I bought a Supersonic 100 head last month for rehearsal and as a backup for playing out.

The new head was awesome, as I expected.

Last night, I was using the head and all of a sudden the burn channel lost all its volume. The vintage channel is still as loud as ever. I always use the club setting, and even then I can't turn the burn channel much over 2. All of a sudden I can put it on 10 and its not that loud.

Any ideas what this could be? Something blown? Bad tube?

I guess I need to take it to a repair center, but just curious if anyone has ever had this happen.

Thanks and have a great day.

Philip

If you bought it new take it to a Fender authorized repair center. If you bought it used take it to the best guys around your area. Other players in your area will have an opinion on who is the good guy in town.

Hi Pangell44,

Both V3 and V4 are exclusive to the burn channel. You can try a known good tube in each position, one at a time. Try the new tube in V3, try the amp and if the problem is still present, replace the original tube in V3 and try the new tube in V4. It is worth a try, and if it doesn't solve the problem, replace the original tubes and return the amp.

+1

Do not dawdle -- time is not on your side if intend to exchange it or return it for a refund.
