I recently bought a supersonic 22 and absolutely loved the tone and its versatility. However while playing in the burn mode I cannot achieve overdrive while soloing. Connecting an overdrive pedal does not alleviate the situation. Does anyone know how I can get an overdrive sound using the burn mode because I do not want to use distortion pedals while I have an amazing onboard dirty channel. Please assist me.

 Can't imagine that, unless the amp is not switching to the 'burn' channel or otherwise malfunctioning. This amp has tons of OD and distortion, and extreme variability for choosing 'your' tone. No need for pedals.

If you are getting no overdrive on the burn channel with both gains on max, then there is definitely something wrong with the amp. Could be a bad tube, which is easy enough to test. But if it is the switch over relays then you may need a good tech.

Are you saying the burn channel is not distorted? If so, then there is a problem with the amp. Or, are you saying that your solos aren't cutting through the mix and can't be heard? If that is the case, then a clean boost like an MXR micro amp could be the answer.

Don't dismiss what a great pedal can do even for a high gain amp.
A good boost pedal in the front can do wonders for the tone and simply helps the amps high gain work better.

The Ibanez Tube Screamer has been the go-to pedal for a very very long time.
But which one is full of players opinions. The highest sought after TS's are the original's but finding one for a low price is an empty pursuit.
So, you can get modern versions and reissues, or modded lower cost versions.

I have Fulltone Fulldrive 2 that is a boost only or boost+distortion.
Boost + Distortion gives some great old school over drive into a great clean channel like your SS22. For the high gain side use the pedal in boost only mode and balance the boost with the amps gain to get what you like.
Even a modest boost level can help tighten the tone, increase the amps sensitivity for better pick/note attack, and can be dialed in to give a nice boost for solo's to help cut through the mix. It's a modestly priced pedal that gives great results, especially when you power it with 18 volts. I use a Voodo Lab ISO-5 power supply so no worries about batteries.
