It won't shut off with the footswitch unless I unplug the footswitch. Controls work fine just can't get it to stop.

The foot-switch is needed to activate the vibrato, so it seems that you either have the wrong foot switch, the wrong foot switch cable, or a problem with the switch itself. The cable for the foot switch is a TRS (tip, ring, sleeve) cable, not a regular instrument cable. Maybe you are using the wrong cable?

It's a hard wired cable to the footswitch housing so no wrong there. Checked the switch and was getting a continuous circuit engaged or not so figured bad switch as the vib comes on when it sees a ground. Since I always have the reverb on thought a quick temporary fix would be to just switch the vib to the reverb switch until or unless I get a new switch. Well they soldier onto the switches pretty good with lots of wraps first so that would be chore to wick all the soldier off and then move so decided to try the plug side. Opened up the plug and looked easier and then notice one little wire hair on the vib wire did not get twisted and soldiered and over time must have been making contact with the plug housing. Snipped it off and sure enough cleared up the problem.

Love it when the fix is simple!!!

Like Rosanne Rosanna-Danna used to say......

"It's always something."

Glad the fix was relatively painless.

Rawk on!
