I don't personally attack anyone, but have been personally attacked over opinions. I've been called all names worse than dipstick and have been threatened in emails. I don't whine about it. I just Ignore it. strings10927 is having a ball with this and even uses bluesky quote as a tagline. I think it's time to grow up and try to get along.

So, you're unhappy he's gone but disagree with bullying but think everybody should grow tougher skin and you have never attacked anyone except for just now when you compared all the people complaining about bluesky to hypocritical elementary schoolchildren? Gotcha.

:?: i didn't call anyone here a a hypocritical schoolchild or attack a single person. So I guess you're a bully for calling me a bully by your way of thinking? Read a little deeper. I stated there are choices and yes, I considered Bill a friend. I never said I agreed with some of the things he's said to other people, but he always treated me with the same respect I showed him and he helped me on a technical level time and time again as does Arjay. This is exactly how all the trouble starts here. Dissecting and twisting other peoples words around. Some here are really good at it.

You've been on the forum for two weeks and you think you know everyone?

Supro...don't waste your time on this, it just isn't worth it. I am not even sure how someone can be cyber bullied anyway...unless it hits too close to home for someone's ego?

I seem to remember a saying from when I was a kid...Sticks and Stones may break my bones but words can never hurt me...seems that might be applicable here?

Read this entire thread. No one is distorting his words--many have listed specific, straightforward insults that bluesky said to them.

Yes, I've been here two weeks, and within two days he had called me idiotic and ignorant (for questioning the business model of Eurotubes.com of all things, lol), and then his buddy arjay +1ed all his posts and called me a dipstick and whatever else. I don't consider this bullying, I just call it being a$$holes. Maybe neither one of them are in real life, but that's the way they have chosen to show themselves in the two weeks I've been here. And obviously I'm not alone in thinking this.

Either way, I don't feel bullied or hurt in any way, so no harm done here. This situation was here long before I ever arrived, it seems.

I have to agree with 63supro about the "bullying" nonsense. Rude or terse responses? Maybe. But to call it bullying is just too much.

As stated, you can report any posts with which you have a problem, to the moderators (see the exclamation point at the bottom left of every post), and if nothing is done about it, quitcher bichin', move on and get over it. Incessant whining is going to get you nowhere. Brushing off rude comments however, might get you a little respect.

"We wanted him gone"?

We didn't want him gone, we just wanted him to stop being a $@!&#*%.

HE wanted to be gone, so he left. And if he left because he thought HE was being bullied, well that's hilarious.

C'est la vie

Plenty of "amp gurus" out there online willing to offer help with being superior jackasses.

And now for the surprise twist: I am bluesky. This has been a psychological experiment. Thank you for participating.

Copied that quote from DarkPenguin's signature. I thought it was pretty funny.

It is like wearing a scarlet letter. I feel people should know I've been deemed guilty of being an asshat by bluesky and that they should act accordingly.

The best part of being bluesky smote was that after welcoming me to his ignore list he went back and edited his post to remove the help he had provided.

Oh, and if you change "Welcome to my ignore list" to "Sir, I said 'good day'!" it makes him seem less hostile.

Shouldn't respecting others be the default?

Respect is something you start with, and can lose.
Trust is something you start without, and can win.

You guys obviously don't know Bill. It's a shame, he had a lot to offer.
Usually what happens is someone comes here looking for advice or an opinion about an amp. You will get tons of responses. The problems start when someone has anything negative about someone's gear. I gave up on that a while ago. I can't stand the HRD series amps and was seriously vocal about it. I'm a gigging musician and my HRDlx was a nightmare. I went to Egnater amps, mine is fine, but there are reports about the Tweaker series. I let people know about it whenever someone asks me about my Rebel 20. I build most of my own stuff now.

I've been called a bully as well and have been personally attacked over the years. I left, didn't announce it though, then came back a couple months later.

Everyone here needs to understand that if you don't like something or someone just ignore them, keep the snide remarks to yourselves. There a quite a few people here I don't care for. I just don't read what they have to say.

Bill, Arjay, Shimmy, myself and a handful of others tell the truth. Don't get bent out of shape if anyone disagrees with you, it's an opinion nothing more. Some sugarcoat it some don't.

I consider Bill, Arjay and many many others friends and when one leaves it's sad. Like I said, Bill had a lot to offer and his amp build documentation was first rate. Snowy's were too.
Keep chasing the seasoned amp repair and builder guys away and you'll spend a lot more time paying a tech for information some here give for free.
I am all for keeping seasoned amp techs around but ones with attitude problems chase themselves away! Yes Bluesky636 is very knowledgeable and informative but it is obvious he rubs people the wrong way. I participate on many amp forums and there are many people with amp knowledge who are able to inform without making personal enemies out of other people who ask questions. I for one suspect there is more to this than just a forum. Maybe job pressure or homelife or whatever. He needs time to sort out and maybe he will be back and in a better frame of mind!
No man is irreplaceable, there is always someone who comes along and I know of many as knowledgeable. I hope he does return, I enjoyed reading his comments even when I may have been a target of his wrath! :) I have a thick skin tho. At least I didn't make his "Ignore" list although I was maybe close at times!

Communication on a forum as compared to actually speaking to someone can be a bit difficult. It is easy to read things into posts that sometimes aren't actually there. I have done this myself, more so when I first joined the forum. I try to not take things personally as much as I used to. As an interesting experiment, I sometimes read a post as if my grandmother had written it. It makes a world of difference as to how I perceive the "tone" of the post. However, we all have probably been guilty of being at least a little curmudgeonly at one time or another, and some of us maybe more-so than others. We are all human after all, and have emotions, burdens, bad days, etc.

I can identify with this! I have my Curmudgeon Moments the same as anyone. Another thing the "Bully" label is getting tired! If you don't have any real input don't throw the "Bully" term in. Besides, I love being the "Bully!
